Our PTFA is made up of parents and teachers from our school community. The role of the PTFA (Parent, Teacher and Friends Association) at St Peters is to fundraise for extra resources for our students and staff and to contribute to the community spirit here at our school. We provide a vital link between home and school and we have a dedicated group of parents that work hard towards our goals.
Although fundraising forms an important part of what we do, being on the PTA offers a parent/caregiver a real opportunity to be more involved in your child’s education. It is a way to meet other parents/caregivers and a great way to liaise with the school adding your perspective in a friendly team environment.
Our School PTFA works as a two-tier committee. The first tier is the main core of members that discuss and initiate how to raise funds and more importantly how to filter money raised back into the school. We have a close and productive relationship with the school staff as well as the wider Cambridge community. The second tier is the people we fondly refer to as the "friends of the PTFA”. These are people who for whatever reason don’t wish to be committed to the PTFA but are happy to put their hand up as and when the call for help goes out.
The PTFA is always grateful for help and support all levels of involvement.
All parents and caregivers are most welcome to join us for our monthly meetings.
We meet on the first Wednesday of the Month at 7pm in the school staffroom.
(the meetings dates are advertised in the school newsletter)
